Game fishing is a popular recreational activity in the United States and Canada. Several states of these countries have excellent facilities for fishing. Florida is a state, which is blessed by nature with a number of lakes and a wide variety of fish in almost all of the lakes. The abundance of lakes and fishes is the most vital aspect for fishing. One can buy every one of the fishing equipment. But each item will render useless if there is no fish in the lake. That is why Florida has become an ideal location for spending a fishing vacation. Florida sport fishing charters are extremely popular with vacationers.

Fishing vacations are ideal when the whole family is involved in the tour. Fishing locations have something for everybody. Surroundings of most of the lakes offer picture postcard greenery. Even those who are not interested in fishing will be able to enjoy the beauty and wilderness of the surroundings of the lake. In Florida, there are plenty of lakes that offer an infinite wealth of fish as well as a serene natural habitat around it. Various kinds of fish such as sailfish, dolphin, marlin, and tuna exist in these waters. These specialties make Florida sport fishing charters very attractive and unique.

There are several lakes around the Florida Gulf Coast and Florida Sun Coast. Some of the prominent freshwater lakes in Florida are Lake Okeechobee, Lake George, Lake Kissimmee, and Orange Lake. Almost all these lakes have an abundance of fish. The chances of returning without any fish are almost zero. That is the reason why Florida is known as the luckiest state for fishing. So, Florida Sport Fishing Charters are ideal for both inexperienced anglers and veterans.

There are several travel agencies that provide Florida sport fishing charters. Some of the agencies are so cocksure about getting a catch that they offer money back guarantee if the visitor could not catch fish. Also, if the visitors are inexperienced in fishing, they will provide guides to help you in fishing. But if you are an experienced angler, you can freely indulge in your favorite pastime without any external influence. The chartered boat will have a captain and several crewmembers to ensure your safety. The captains of the chartered vessels are highly experienced in sailing these waters and most of them know the locations in the lake where fish population is high like the back of their hands.

Another reason why Florida fishing charters have become one of the top items among the vacationers is that the photo-taking opportunity it gives. Since you are dead sure of capturing fish, you can be certain about the photograph of that proud moment of holding your catch. Also, the lake and the surroundings offer beautiful background for memorable family photos.

Alaska halibut fishing charters are the way to go.

The halibut is a strange fish. There is no getting around that. It is a close relative of the flounder, and like that fish, has this thing with its eyes not being in the right place. It usually weighs around 25-30 pounds when it is an adult, but it can grow much larger. Some have been caught that weigh up to 600 pounds. They are fighters. They do not jump high in the air like many other ocean monsters. They are more likely to sit near the bottom and stubbornly pull back as hard as the fisherman is reeling in.

Their fighting mean streak does not end when they get on the boat. In fact, bigger halibut are so feisty that the charter captains often shoot them when they get to the surface to protect the passengers from harm. Once you have pulled a 100 pound halibut up from the ocean depths, you will never have to prove your strength and endurance again in any other way.

The prime fishery for halibut is the cold waters of the North Pacific Ocean. Alaska halibut fishing charters leave from ports all along the coast during the warm season. Like most fishing charters all over the world, the halibut charter boats will provide you with everything you need to catch the fish. They tell you to bring refreshment and snacks, but they provide the heavy tackle and bait needed to catch the halibut.

They also remind you to bring warm clothing. This is still Alaska and even in the summer, it is likely to be chilly out on the water. There are many different sized boats and the size that is best for you is determined by the size of your party. As with most charters, it is highly recommended to make reservations in advance. You are going to have to pay a deposit, but this will be refunded in case the weather does not cooperate with your schedule.

You will also need an Alaskan fishing license, but these can be obtained locally. You will also get to keep your catch if you wish, so you might want to bring a cooler or two. Commercial fishing for halibut has been tightly controlled for years in Alaska despite the value of this fish. This has been good for the sports fishing industry. The best thing about halibut is the fun and adventure of catching them, but the second best thing is eating them. It is a close second, too. Make sure you do not miss that part of it.

In the past, fishing for Atlantic salmons was mostly for sustenance. Caught on river runs or on the open sea, these salmons are fished by hundreds. In fact, a number of fishing techniques have evolved to catch these Atlantic salmons as they return to their spawning grounds en masse. Icelandic nomads cut holes on frozen lakes to fish for salmons beneath a layer of ice. Polar bears have learned how to dive and fish for salmons, often displaying superb agility and finesse underwater. And several hunters have copied the formula, teaching hunter dogs to dive into freezing waters to catch salmon themselves. Even the trout tickling have of course evolved on this part of the globe.

For the people on the northern hemisphere, it’s true they have long respected the salmon. Northern indigenous tribes hold ceremonies on shores to honor their first return of the year. Wooden and earthen vessels are adorned with salmon carvings.

Today, Atlantic salmon fishing is done mostly for sports; the centuries of fishing Atlantic salmon have extensively decimated populations. Several the commercial Atlantic salmon was bought away by concerned communities and sports institutions that are alarmed by the rapidly declining salmon specie. While it is still fished for sustenance, most commercial Atlantic salmons are now farmed, grown on fisheries or planted on unoccupied water sheds with sea access, where the salmons would still make their seasonal runs.

Atlantic Salmon fishing is still available for every anglers to enjoy; though some areas would require a strict “catch and release” agenda. While you may not be particularly keen in releasing your catches, you can still measure and take photos with the catch before releasing it back into the water.

Are you in for some Atlantic salmon fishing? If that’s the case maybe I can recommend you some ideas about Atlantic salmon fishing. Read on, read on.

Alaska Rainbow Lodge is blessed to be sitting right in the banks of the Kenai River. In case you don’t know, Kenai is favorably known as one of the best salmon fishing spot since its several spacious rivers and sizable water sheds are large enough to brood several finicky salmons. And its being located near the Atlantic sea makes it a more favorable salmon run. Going for an Atlantic salmon fishing trip? Head out to Kenai. Just book to Alaska Rainbow Lodge and start fishing right out of the doorstep.

Charters can be wholesome when you aren’t yet the best of anglers. At most, those that drive you to the fishing destinations are competent fishermen that can give you a pointer or two. So why not sign up for those Atlantic salmon fishing trips and do some exciting fishing stuff, ones that guarantee a bite, e.g. like trolling. Are you game?

Deep sea fishing isn’t the same as fishing from the shores of a placid lake full of small school of fish. If you are looking for adventure fishing, then the deep blue ocean waters provide more exploratory courses. Deep sea fishing isn’t just pampering your mental faculties but also being physically strong. Fishing enthusiasts venture out at sea with perfectly coordinated captain and crew of a boat also called a charter. An entire group can take a voyage into the deep blue sea, ride the waves and smell and hunt exotic species of fish. And return to the coast with some prized catch!

One of the favorite areas, where one can have the pleasure of indulging in whale watching, diving and catching fish with proper and safe charters is the Gulf of Mexico. The kingfish, tuna, Spanish mackerel are hunted often in these waters. There are many chartering companies that permit people from any corner of the world to rent or charter boats and have a deep sea tour. These tours vary depending on the fishing areas and fishing event.

Most of the charter companies navigate the course of the adventure trip for amateurs. Regular, experienced and professionals know where they can find a good catch. A boat can be chartered for specific periods. Day and night adventures are possible also. Shark hunting is ideal on dark nights. Deep sea fishing charters are big business in coastal areas where one can get a variety of species of the aquatic kingdom.

For most of us, booking a charter trip to fish for the famous wild Alaskan salmon is a treat and possibly a once in a lifetime trip. Alaska is a big state and fishing is big business. To make the most of your trip, invest a few hours in some research. You and your captain will be grateful you did.

What type of fish do you want to catch?

Alaska hosts five species of salmon, plus other game fish such as Dolly Varden, Arctic Grayling and Alaska Rainbow Trout. Charter services often specialize in the fishing expeditions they offer, so decide up front the fish you are after. Fishing seasons in Alaska vary from region to region. Check with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Sport Fish Division for the yearly sport fishing regulations and seasons for each year. An interactive map is available on their site to find these regulations. Also, check for any emergency orders issued by the departments. These emergency actions may decrease creel limits or close seasons and will always supersede the published regulations.

Be up front about your goals and desires. A conscientious guide will be up front with you about their expertise.

River or Ocean Fishing?

Once you have decided on the type of fish you want to catch, the next question is what type of fishing are you interested in – river or ocean. Some of Alaska’s sport fish are present in both waters and the fishing technique is often a personal choice.

River fishing is generally fly fishing, drift fishing and some trolling. Peaceful and unhurried, this venue allows for wildlife watching and appreciation of the surroundings.

Ocean charters are almost always trolling or “jigging”. This is open water fishing with exposure to the whims of the sea and the weather. Some charter services offer combination trips. For example, one service offers what is known as a “combo” trip in which 2 to 3 hours of trolling for early season salmon is combined with a halibut charter.

Is Gear Provided and What Quality Is It?

Most services provide quality gear. Broken poles and jammed reels make for miserable trips, not to mention terrible advertising. Bad experiences have a way of getting around. If you have your own gear that is adequate for this type of fishing and wish to bring it along, be sure to ask first. If you have never done this type of fishing before, allow the service to outfit you with their gear.

How Much Will it Cost?

Once you have contacted your potential charter service, but sure you mention how many people will be in the party and how long you want to fish. Unless you are a seasoned fisherman used to long days on the water, a full day in a rocking boat in Alaska’s unpredictable elements might be too much. In this case, opt for a half day, which is usually 3 to 5 hours. Come away with pleasant memories instead of exhaustion.

Most rates are around $200.00 to $300.00 per person per day depending on where you fish. Discounts are usually defined on websites. Ask if taxes, meals, port fees or fuel surcharge are included.

Deposits are required and cancellation/refund policies should be made clear.

What Should The Charter Service Provide?

Fast, safe, late model sport fishing boats Friendly, experienced and licensed Captain and crew Top quality fishing tackle with rigging appropriate for the fish species All bait and lures Fish cleaning (not always, but a heavy tip is usually provided to whoever cleans your fish) All instruction necessary to catch fish. Better charters offer vacuum sealing, freezing and shipping.
What Should You Bring With You?

Food and beverages (NOT usually supplied by the charter. Ask.) Rain Gear (Sometimes supplied by the charter. Ask.) Camera Motion sickness Pills Fishing license and king stamp (if fishing kings) **BUY YOUR FISHING LICENSE ON-LINE AHEAD OF TIME (See ADF&G website for details) Cooler or bags to transport cleaned fish in your car Weather appropriate clothing (dress in layers) Sunglasses Sunblock Bug Repellent Rubber Boots
Other Things to Consider

Does the charter have a private head (bathroom)? This might make for a more enjoyable trip. Find out a definite departure time and Be On Time! Find out in advance what the cancellation policy is. The fishing season is limited and each day counts for these businesses. On the other hand, Alaskan weather can be unpredictable and no reputable service should insist that customers endure harsh conditions.

Following the above guidelines should connect you with the captain and service that will help you land that trophy fish of a lifetime.

If there’s a new and controversial wave in fishing today, it would be none other than ******* fishing. ******* fishing in the U.S. technically originated in the shores of Florida. That’s not surprising, since Florida is a haven for fishing and all types of water fun. The State is very famous for a lot of things. And their waters are their foremost tourist attractions. Almost all of the businesses operating around the area have a lot to do with the Florida seas. And the fishing charter business is just one of them.

A certain fishing charter out in Florida capitalized on the experimental idea to put ladies as deck hands in fishing expeditions. Their service is certainly different, as most fishing charters are advertised with able captains and crews who know every inch of the ocean that they take their customers on. Not with this charter though. They don’t have competent men aboard. Instead, they have **** women to help you out.

And the idea paid off, it seems. Why would sports fishers and professional seafarers, who normally book these charters, need captains and crews when they can do that job anyway? And so groups of men lined up to be the next guests of this ******* fishing charter. It was a very good business while it lasts.

Owners of the said fishing charter claimed that theirs was not a totally ******* fishing spree. The bikini girls serve sandwiches, food, and drinks. Also part of their job is to run out the lines and baits for you. They are virtually capable of doing everything any other fishing mate could. The only difference is that they’re women and they’re wearing bikinis. Well, bikinis that they can take off, apparently.

Such were the statements of the owners of the ******* fishing vessel when they encounter issues about their ‘innovative’ business. These girls aboard their ship can go on topless, but only if the guests wants them to. And it entails an extra fee at that. Plus, they can only take their tops off if the boat is already miles away from the shore. The owners further added that even if they allow ******* fishing, they strictly implement a no-touch policy with their ladies.

The charter is a favorite vessel for stag parties and group outings. The owners admit that their ******* fishing strategy had lead to their vessel’s full booking of five days a week. To promote their business, they have created brochures and placed them at restaurants and other prime spots where there’s lots of foot traffic.

However, the manager of the city marina where the ******* fishing ship is docked isn’t too happy with their presence and their line of business. He claimed that Florida has lots of family visitors and they can’t tolerate ****** in their shores. And so the marina manager is left with no choice but to take the charter’s business away from the city docks.

The case between the city of Florida and the ******* fishing vessel started the moment the marina tried to take their business out. The owners of the fishing vessel said what the city did is purely discrimination. They don’t think it is fair and they want to go back to the city docks where the business is great. Right now, they are at a private dock and they claim that they don’t get the same volume of guests that they used to have when they’re at the city marina. They want to bring their vessel back right where it used to be. The case is currently in the courts and the owners of the ******* fishing vessel are drumming up support for their business. The support will come in the form of signatures, which will be presented to the city commission.

Whether this ******* fishing case will be decided favorably for the owners or not, they’re still not out of business, so to speak. Everybody who is interested in adding a certain level of fun in their fishing adventure could try their service. But of course, this event can’t be a family activity like what a regular fishing adventure should be.

Additionally, booking the ******* fishing vessel is going to be a lot more expensive than booking the regular ones. And if you really want to really see girls go topless, you have to pay an extra fee. How much that extra fee, it wasn’t stated. But it’s going to be a very steep price for sure.

Whether it’s the peaceful and serene beauty of being on the ocean, the excitement of a Sailfish or Dolphin erupting from the water, the brute strength of a Tuna or the drag-searing run of a Wahoo or Kingfish, the local waters off of Fort Lauderdale are the best place to go. During an offshore sportfishing excursion you can encounter any of the species listed above.

Sailfish are the most acrobatic and energetic game fish that inhabit the offshore waters of South Florida. A local Fort Lauderdale Sport fishing Captain will use many different tactics to catch Sailfish, the most exciting tactic we use is Live Bait Kite fishing. When we kite fish we suspend live baits from a fishing kite, the live baits sit just inches under the surface of the water so they splash and create sound waves which penetrate into the depths and ripples which magnify across the surface. These sound waves and ripples get the Sailfish and other offshore pelagic species attention. With the baits only inches under the surface of the water we can watch the Sailfish, Dolphin, Kingfish, Wahoo, or Tuna attack the bait, you witness some very impressive hits.

A local Fort Lauderdale fishing guide will use light 15lbs to 20lbs stand up tackle to fight these offshore sport fish. They will have all the necessary gear and experience to keep you fighting fish all day. A Fort Lauderdale fishing excursion is the perfect gift for someone who is an outdoors enthusiast and the perfect way to get the family together.
Vinnie’s love for the sport of fishing began at an early age. He was raised with a fishing pole in his hand in the old harbor town of Annapolis, Maryland. Growing up Vinnie spent his summer’s Big Game fishing with his father and brothers out of Montauk Point, Long Island and in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. He spent the winters fishing for Blues and Stripers in the Chesapeake Bay. Vinnie took his knowledge of fishing to the next level at the age of 17, when he was a mate on numerous charter and private fishing boats and worked at local tackle shops while attending college in South Florida. His love for fishing has taken him all over South Florida including the Everglades and the Florida Keys, the Bahamas and the majority of the Caribbean Islands. Vinnie’s knowledge of boats, water, and fishing far exceed his tender age of 22 and his fishing performances have earned him a reputation.

Salmon fishing in Sooke, B.C allows for a unique and exciting experience with its mild climate and year round fishery. The town of Sooke is located approximately 33 km west (20 miles) from the nearest large city of Victoria, British Columbia.

Fishing in Sooke is different from many west coast destinations as it is typically not “open water” fishing. From June to late summer your chances of hooking the big one are very good when your charter navigates through hot-spots such as beachy head, race rocks, secretary island and the trap shack. These world class locations are all within minutes of the marina and you can spend your day in a relaxed, safe atmosphere.

There are many different kinds of fishing charters available in Sooke, depending on what type of experience you desire and the size of your party. Some are full service providing transportation and meal service while others are for the more budget conscious. At a minimum packages usually include at least a half day booking and it is a good idea to get at least 3 or 4 people to go with you to distribute the cost and share in the fun. If you are lucky enough to book your charter on one of the weekends when a derby is running, such as the salmon classic, your catch of the day might be worth 100,000 – 1st prize for the biggest fish!

As a bonus when taking a charter in Sooke, you may be lucky enough to spot some of our local wildlife, such as killer whales, blue whales, bald eagles, seals and sea lions.
